Yi-Cheng Lin (林怡成) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1997. From 1997 to 2003, he was with Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, California, responsible for the design and development of miniaturized antennas for mobile satellite communications and multiple-antenna system for antenna diversity and MIMO applications. Since 2003, he has joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research interests cover the design, implementation, and measurement of compact antennas, broadband/multiband antennas, EBG antennas, and MIMO/diversity antennas for various wireless applications. He is also interested in the low-cost design of millimeter-wave antennas integrated with transceiver module in a module packaging. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
