  1. Nobel Prize winner or other global prize winner with resemblance
  2. National academician of advanced countries or academician of Academia Sinca

Distinguished Professor
  1. National academician from any country
  2. Noble international scholar (has received any noble international academic rewards)

NTU Professor Newly hired scholar who has international reputation and has been in NTU for teaching or research for at least 1 year At least 1 year and maximum 3 years. Contract can be renewed according to the procedure within one year prior to the expiration
Visiting Scholar*
  1. Current/former assistant professor or higher position, who has important contribution to academics or significant publications
  2. After earning PhD, who has been working on specialized career/ researching at research institute/ doing R&D or management at tech institute for at least 4 years with outstanding achievement
  3. Has special talent in R&D or management at tech institute in the field of special techniques, who is rarely seen in Taiwan
 3 months~ 1 year as an interval. Contract can be renewed when assisting period ends, and the longest assisting period is 3 years.
Post Doctoral Potential talent with PhD and Taiwan nationality/Foreigner with a rare specialty in Taiwan with PhD 3 months~ 1 year as an interval. Contract can be renewed when assisting period ends, and the longest assisting period is 3 years.
Exchange Professor
  1. Current university assistant professor or higher position, who has important contribution to academics or significant publications
  2. Who can apply for exchange professor to this program
  3. Contracted School: -University of Hamburg, Germany - Invited by French institute in Taipei
 1~12 months
